MassPoint’s Principal, Hdeel Abdelhady, presented on Rule of Law in the Exploration and Use of Outer Space at the annual Galloway Symposium on Critical Issues in Space Law. Ms. Abdelhady, along with her co-panelists, engaged in a comparative law discussion. Speaking from the Islamic Law perspective and generally, Ms. Abdelhady covered the nature and extent of rights and obligations of state and private parties, such as rights based on sovereignty or tangible and intangible (IP) property rights.

In addition to her private practice with MassPoint PLLC, Ms. Abdelhady teaches Transactional Islamic Law, as well as  Regulation of Foreign Access to U.S. Technology at The George Washington University Law School. Ms. Abdelhady covers Islamic banking, finance, and philanthropy in practice and has represented banks, borrowers, private equity firms, other investors, and non-governmental organizations on Islamic transactional and philanthropic matters.
