Hdeel Abdelhady Re-Appointed Liaison to UNCITRAL and Co-Chair of the American Bar Association Section of International Law Middle East Committee

Washington, D.C., September 4, 2015 Hdeel Abdelhady has been re-appointed to a third consecutive term as Liaison to the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) and to a second consecutive term as Co-Chair of the American Bar Association Section of International Law Middle East Committee.

 

About Hdeel Abdelhady. Hdeel Abdelhady is Founder and Principal of MassPoint Legal and Strategy Advisory PLLC, a Washington, D.C. boutique law and strategy firm catering to U.S. and foreign parties on banking, compliance, and investment matters with a focus on emerging and developing markets. A member of the American bar Association (ABA) and a graduate of The George Washington University Law School, where she is a Professorial Lecturer in law, Ms. Abdelhady has held several leadership positions in the ABA Section of International Law. Previously she served as Co-Chair of Islamic Finance Committee, Vice-Chair of the Africa Committee, and Vice-Chair of the Middle East Committee. In these and other leadership roles, Ms. Abdelhady spearheaded programs and initiatives covering timely issues in the areas of international law, cross-border investment, conventional and Islamic banking and finance, and compliance/governance, including in cooperation with the World Bank, the International Finance Corporation, the Dubai International Financial Centre, and the Arab Bankers Association of North America.
